    Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine)

Vit B6 (pyridoxine) (Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) belongs to the water-soluble group and is extremely important, as it produces an enzyme in the liver that is involved in the synthesis of amino acids, the main building blocks of proteins. Vitamin B6 is partly produced in the intestines by friendly microorganisms, but to a greater extent it comes from food.

Chronic vitamin B6 deficiency can lead to anemia, as this substance is involved in the production of red blood cells (erythrocytes). Also, without it, animal proteins are poorly absorbed, skin diseases arise – dermatitis, skin inflammation, in severe cases – convulsions resembling epileptic seizures. The nervous system suffers greatly from a lack of vitamin B6, since under any stress, the synthesis of amino acids should be especially intense.

In addition to insufficient food intake, pyridoxine deficiency can be triggered by pregnancy, increased physical activity, hepatitis, and a long course of taking certain medications.

Meat products and wheat germ are rich in vitamin B6. If there is not enough animal protein in ready-made feeds, a well-digestible synthesized substance – pyridoxine hydrochloride is added to the diet.
