The drug has a broad spectrum of activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, such as: Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Brucella spp., Haemophilus spp., E. coli, Pasteurella spp., Klebsiella spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Fusobacterium spp., Salmonella spp., and protozoa (Protozoa), mycoplasma (Mycoplasma spp.), rickettsiae (Rickettsia spp.) and chlamydia (Chlamydia).
Neomycin sulfate – aminoglycoside antibiotic which bactericidal effect on aerobic bacteria effective against gram-positive and some gram-negative bacteria (E. coli, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Proteus spp., Shigella, Enterobacteriae, Staphylococcus spp.) and cocci. Neomycin sulfate exhibits an antimicrobial effect by inhibition of protein synthesis in ribosomes.
