Description
The liquid is light yellow, homogeneous, viscous.
Pharmacological properties
Macrolide antibiotic. Inhibits protein synthesis, active against gram-positive microorganisms – Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Bacillus anthracis, Corynebacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Listeria spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Some strains of Gram-negative. spp., Rickettsia – Rickettsia spp., Spirochetes – Spirochetes, Mycoplasma – Mycoplasma spp.
After intramuscular injection, it is rapidly absorbed and reaches maximum tissue concentrations in approximately one hour. Therapeutic concentration is maintained in the body for 20-24 hours. The half-life in small ruminants is 54 minutes, in newborn calves – 139 minutes, in calves aged 2 months and older – 64 minutes.
It is excreted mainly in the urine and bile, during lactation – in milk.
Indication
Treatment of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, rabbits for chlamydia, mycoplasmosis, arthritis, mastitis, respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases, postoperative and postpartum complications and other bacterial infections caused by microorganisms .
Contraindication
Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to tylosin, hepatic impairment, tylosin-resistant strains of the pathogen or cross-resistance to other macrolide antibiotics.
Do not use concomitantly with penicillins, cephalosporins and lincomycin.
Method of application and dosage
Before using the drug, a test for the sensitivity of microorganisms to tylosin is performed. The drug is heated to a temperature of + 25-30 ° C and administered intramuscularly 1 time per day, the course of treatment – 3-5 days. Doses per 10 kg of body weight are:
- cattle – 0.2-0.5 ml (4-10 mg of tylosin tartrate per 1 kg of body weight);
- sheep, goats – 0.3-0.6 ml (6-12 mg of tylosin tartrate per 1 kg of body weight);
- pigs – 0.5 ml (10 mg of tylosin tartrate per 1 kg of body weight);
- dogs, cats – 0.15-0.5 ml (3-10 mg of tylosin tartrate per 1 kg of body weight);
- rabbits – 0.6-1.2 ml (12-24 mg of tylosin tartrate per 1 kg of body weight).
The injection, the volume of which is greater than the following values, is divided into several parts and injected in different places:
- adult cattle – 20 ml;
- calves, sheep, goats – 10-15 ml;
- pigs, piglets – 5-10 ml.

Reservation
After intramuscular injection, there may be painful swelling, gastrointestinal disorders (anorexia, diarrhea). In pigs, swelling of the rectal mucosa is possible, accompanied by itching, erythema and diarrhea.
After the last application of the drug, slaughter of cattle and rabbits for meat is allowed in 28 days, pigs – in 14 days, sheep, goats – in 42 days, people can eat milk in 4 days. Meat and milk obtained earlier than this period are disposed of or fed to non-productive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian.
Storage conditions
In a dry, dark place, out of reach of children at a temperature of +5 to +25 ° C.
After opening the vial, store the drug in the refrigerator and use within 6 days.
