Fenbendazole belongs to the group of benzimidazoles. It destroys the microtubules of digestive cells and causes a neurotoxic effect in helminths. It has a harmful effect on the larvae of different stages and breaks the integrity of the helminth eggs' shells, thus they are not capable of further development.
It is indicated for deworming of cattle, sheep and goats, pigs, horses, carnivorous and fur-bearing animals, chickens, geese affected by nematodes (by mature and immature forms), certain types of cestodes and trematodes.
