albendazole – methyl [5-(propilsulfanil)-1n-benzimidazole-2-il] carbamate belongs to the group of benzimidazole. Albendazole exhibits larvicidal, ovicidal and vermicidal activity, and is thought to exert its anthelmintic effect by inhibiting tubulin polymerization. This causes a cascade of metabolism disruption, including energy depletion, which immobilizes then kills the susceptible helminth.
Albendazole – broad-spectrum anthelmintics, effective on mature forms of trematodes (Fasciola hepatica and Dicrocоelium lanceatum), nematodes, that parasitize in the digestive tract and lungs (Bunostomum spp., Cooperia spp., Dictyocaulidae spp., Haemonchus spp., Nematodirus spp., Ostertagia spp., Strongyloides spp., Triсhostrongylus spp., Trichuris spp. etc.), and some species of cestodes (Avitellina centripumctata, Moniezia expansa, Moniezia benedeni, Thysaniezia giardi).
APPLICATION. Deworming of cattle, sheep, goats, horses, pigs, dogs, cats, furry animals, birds with nematodes lesions (mature and immature forms), some types of cestodes and trematodes.
