Gigi KogaPET – Vitamin K1 – a means to improve blood clotting in dogs and cats, 100 tablets
Cats and dogs can get poisoned by rodenticide (rat poison) quite by accident when eating poisoned rodent baits or eating the poisoned rodents themselves. The danger of such poisoning lies in internal bleeding, which is hidden from the eyes.
The veterinary drug Gigi KogaPET increases the physiological level of vitamin K1 in the body of cats and dogs, promotes blood clotting, and prevents hypovitaminosis K1. The agent is also used for anemia in animals, blood loss, surgical interventions with a risk of bleeding and before a planned biopsy. With this tool, the chances of alleviating the condition of a pet and helping his body cope with toxins are greatly increased.
Benefits of Gigi KogaPET Coagulation Improver for Dogs and Cats:
- KogaPET is an antidote for rodenticide poisoning in pets.
- KogaPET is an effective tool for preparing your pet’s body for surgery to prevent the possibility of bleeding.
- Vitamin K1 is the main active ingredient in this medicine. It ensures normal blood clotting. First, there is a synthesis of K-dependent blood coagulation factors, which were destroyed by poisoning with rat poison. During synthesis, vitamin K1 is converted to vitamin K1 hydroquinone (the active form of vitamin K1) and then to vitamin K1 epoxide. The supply of vitamin K1 must be sufficient for an alternative pathway of activation of the hydrogenase enzyme, converting it to its active (hydroquinone) form. After metabolism in the liver, vitamin K1 is excreted in the bile and urine.
- Synthetic vitamin K1 strengthens blood vessels, increases blood clotting, thereby preventing bleeding.
- Vitamin C has redox properties, has a positive effect on hematopoiesis (hematopoiesis), ensures the normal state of the walls of blood vessels, neutralizes and removes toxic substances from the body.
Composition of 1 tablet (0.32 g): Vitamin K1 (phytomenadione) – 50 mg, vitamin C (ascorbic acid) – 20 mg.
Method of administration and doses: Gigi KogaPET is fed to dogs and cats as an antidote for poisoning with rodenticides from the anticoagulant group, as well as for anemia, blood loss, severe surgical interventions with a risk of bleeding, before a planned biopsy, and also for hypovitaminosis K1.
- Cats weighing up to 5 kg should take 1/2 tablet per day.
- Cats weighing up to 10 kg are given 1 tablet per day.
- Dogs are given the drug at the rate of 1 tablet per 10 kg of animal weight per day.
The duration of the course of treatment is determined by the veterinarian (usually at least 2 weeks). KogaPET can be used in complex treatment with other symptomatic agents. Contraindications and side effects from the use of the drug have not been established.
