Zinc ointment, 100 g

Description

Ointment from white to light yellow with a faint specific odor.

1 g of the drug contains:

zinc oxide – 100 mg,

ointment base (vaseline) – 900 mg.

Pharmacological properties

ATCvet QD03A, other veterinary drugs that promote scarring and wound healing.

Anti-inflammatory topical agent has drying, astringent and adsorbing action. Forms albuminates and denatures proteins. When applied to the affected surface reduces the effects of exudation, inflammation and tissue irritation, forms a protective barrier against irritants.

Application

Treatment of cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, rabbits with dermatitis of various etiologies and other skin diseases (pyoderma, eczema, ulcers with exudation).

Dosage

Before application, the ointment is mixed, applied in a thin layer on the affected areas of the skin and 2-4 cm around them; while it is lightly rubbed into the skin. Affected areas are treated 1-2 times a day until the disappearance of clinical signs of the disease.

Contraindication

Acute course of the disease (purulent processes).
