Divopride rectal suppositories are a complex veterinary drug, the therapeutic effect of which is determined by the pharmacological properties of the active substances included in its composition.
Benzocaine is a local anesthetic that reverses and locally increases the threshold of perception and suppresses the conduction of nerve fibers, reduces pain sensitivity. The most pronounced effect is observed in fibers of pain sensitivity and sympathetic postganglionic fibers. Benzocaine slows down the membrane penetration of Na+ and K+ ions, which reduces the sensitivity of the nerve fiber. The effect occurs 1 minute after using the drug and lasts up to 20 minutes. After absorption, benzocaine is hydrolyzed in the blood under the action of esterases and cholinesterase into PABA and diethylaminoethanol. Approximately 80% of PABA in unchanged or conjugated form and 30% of diethylaminoethanol are excreted by the kidneys.
Sea buckthorn extract is a multivitamin component of plant origin, contains flavonoids, carotenoids, tocopherols, vitamins (C, B2, B6, folic and nicotinic acids), inositol, phospholipids, glycerides of linoleic, oleic, linoleic, linoleic, organic acids (tartaric, oxalic , apple, amber), coumarins It has a tonic, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, analgesic effect, enhances granulation and epithelization of tissues.
Xeroform – a substance that is not absorbed into the bloodstream, has astringent and drying effects, reduces the pain sensitivity of nerve endings, forming an albuminous film on the surface of tissues; narrows blood vessels, reduces their permeability and exudation at the site of inflammation.
Zinc oxide has an extremely low ability to penetrate into the blood. Zinc ions coagulate proteins, forming albuminates, have binding and drying effect.
Menthol is an anesthetic of plant origin. When it gets on the mucous membranes, it irritates the nerve endings, which is accompanied by a feeling of coldness and tingling, has an analgesic and antiseptic effect.
