Propoxur

Propoxur drug is a broad spectrum insecticidal and acaricidal action. Effective against mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches, horseflies and other insects, as well as ixodid ticks.

Propoxur is recommended for the control of zoophilic flies and blood-sucking dipterans.

Mechanism of action. Propoxur belongs to the class of carbamates – insecticides, which are synthetic analogs of the neurohormone acetylcholine, which is a mediator of nerve impulses in the synapses of the central nervous system in insects and the parasympathetic nervous system in vertebrates.
