ASKA 70 (Acetylsalicylic acid) powder, 500 g
DESCRIPTION
Powder from white to gray.
COMPOSITION
1 g of the drug contains the active substance:
Acetylsalicylic acid – 700 mg.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
ATC – vet classification code: QB01AC06. Antithrombotic veterinary drugs. Acetylsalicylic acid.
Acetylsalicylic acid is an NSAID, a group of salicylates, which has anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic effects, prevents thrombosis, promotes rapid recovery of young animals and reduces performance losses.
The main mechanism of action of acetylsalicylic acid is the inactivation of the COX enzyme (cyclooxygenase), resulting in a decrease in the production of inflammatory mediators: prostaglandins, prostacyclin and thromboxane. A decrease in the synthesis of prostaglandins leads to a decrease in their effect on the thermoregulatory centers, which leads to a decrease in temperature, elevated due to inflammation. Reduces the sensitizing effect of prostaglandins on pain-sensitive nerve endings, reduces their sensitivity to pain mediators. Irreversible inhibition of the synthesis of thromboxane A2 in platelets determines the antiplatelet effect of acetylsalicylic acid.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Symptomatic treatment of calves, pigs and poultry in pathological conditions accompanied by hyperthermia, inflammatory and pain syndromes of low and moderate intensity of various origins (including inflammatory), including fever, respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases, MMA syndrome (metritis-mastitis-agalactia ), rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, muscle and postoperative pain, heat stress.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Orally with drinking water or liquid food at a dose of:
– calves – 1.0 g of the drug per 7 kg of animal body weight or 100 mg of acetylsalicylic acid per 1 kg of body weight;
– pigs – 1.5 kg of the drug per 1000 liters of drinking water or 1 kg of the drug per 1 ton of feed;
– poultry (broiler chickens, breeding chickens, replacement poultry) – 300-600 g of the drug per 1000 liters of drinking water.
Apply with an interval of 24 hours, the course of treatment is 3-5 days.
The required amount of the drug is pre-dissolved in at least ten times the volume of drinking water (1:10) at a water temperature of 35 ° C and vigorously stirred for 20-25 minutes. A lot of foam is formed. After 20-25 minutes, the resulting solution is added to the total volume of water or liquid feed intended for daily drinking.
