Description
White powder, homogeneous.
Pharmacological properties
Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic belonging to the β-lactam group of semi-synthetic aminopenicillins. Blocks the synthesis of bacterial cell walls due to irreversible blocking of penicillin-binding proteins – enzymes transpeptidase and carboxypeptidase, disrupts the osmotic balance, which leads to the death of microorganisms at the stage of development. Active against gram-positive microorganisms – Staphylococcus spp. (except those producing β-lactamases), Streptococcus spp., Clostridia spp., Corynebacterium spp., Actinomyces spp., Actinomyces spp., Listeria monocytogenes, Bacillus anthracis, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Gram-negative salivary microorganisms. ., Haemophilus spp., Moraxella spp., Fusobacterium spp., Bordetella spp., Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterococcus faecalis, etc.
Amoxicillin is better absorbed than other β-lactam antibiotics after oral administration. Resistant to gastric juice, quickly absorbed and distributed in most tissues and body fluids, has a bioavailability of 95%. When used in the recommended doses, the maximum concentration of amoxicillin in blood plasma reaches 2.2 mg / ml after 1.5 hours. The concentration in the walls of the intestine, liver and kidneys is approximately 10-30% of the concentration in blood plasma, and may be higher than in the skin, fat, spleen and muscles. Poorly penetrates into the cerebrospinal fluid.
The drug passes through the placental barrier and is excreted in milk. It is metabolized in small amounts in the liver, and most metabolites are inactive. Approximately 60-80% of the dose is eliminated after 6 hours in the unchanged state. The half-life of oral administration is 1.5 hours. Most are excreted by the kidneys by tubular secretion unchanged. A small part is metabolized by hydrolysis to inactive penicillin acid, which is also excreted in the urine. The half-life of amoxicillin in hepatic impairment does not change.
Citric acid serves as a regulator of acidity and a catalyst for the hydrolysis of substances. As a synergist of antioxidants, it protects organs from the negative effects of heavy metals.
Indication
Treatment of poultry (broiler chickens, broilers, breeding chickens, turkeys, ducks) and pigs for pasteurellosis, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, streptococcus, staphylococcus, as well as respiratory, gastrointestinal, urogenital and other diseases caused by microorganisms to amoxicillin.
Contraindication
Do not prescribe to animals with hypersensitivity to penicillin drugs or excipients, with hypersensitivity (including anaphylaxis) to beta-lactam antibiotics, including cephalosporins, carbapenems, monobactams, with renal impairment.
Do not use in the detection of resistant strains of pathogenic bacteria resistant to penicillins, simultaneously with tetracycline drugs, macrolides, lincosamides and sulfonamides.
Do not use on horses, rabbits, anteaters and other small herbivores, as well as laying hens whose eggs are eaten by humans.
Do not use for prevention.
Method of application and dosage
The drug is administered orally with drinking water in the following doses:
- chickens (broiler chickens, breeding young, breeding chickens) – 15 mg of amoxicillin trihydrate per 1 kg of body weight, course – 3-5 days; the drug solution is prepared daily at the rate of 333 g per 1000 liters of drinking water (1 g per 3 liters of water); before the course of treatment, the watering system is emptied and filled with a therapeutic solution;
- turkeys – 15 mg of amoxicillin trihydrate per 1 kg of body weight (1 g per 3 liters of drinking water), course – 5 days;
- ducks – 20 mg of amoxicillin trihydrate per 1 kg of body weight, the course – 2-3 days; the drug solution is prepared daily at the rate of 450 g per 1000 liters of drinking water (1 g per 2.2 liters of water);
- pigs – 20 mg of amoxicillin trihydrate per 1 kg of body weight (4 g per 100 kg of body weight), used in groups or individually with drinking water, milk replacer, liquid feed, the daily dose is divided into two parts and given with an interval of 12 hours, the course – 5 days.
During treatment, the bird should receive only drinking water with the drug around the clock.

Reservation
When using the drug in the recommended doses, side effects and complications are usually not observed. In some cases, short-term gastrointestinal dysfunction is possible.
In case of allergic reactions, the drug should be discontinued and symptomatic therapy instituted.
Due to the possible development of resistant strains of microorganisms, the drug should be used only after testing for susceptibility of microorganisms to amoxicillin.
Laboratory studies in rats have not shown a teratogenic effect associated with the use of amoxicillin. The decision to use the drug is made by the veterinarian, assessing the potential risks and benefits of the drug on the animal.
After the last application of the drug, slaughter of broiler chickens for meat is allowed in 2 days, turkeys – in 5 days, ducks – in 9 days, pigs – in 7 days. Meat obtained before this date is disposed of or fed to non-productive animals, depending on the opinion of the veterinarian.

AMOK-CAPS (amoxicillin trihydrate - 200 mg, clavulanic acid (as potassium salt) - 50 mg)
Amoxicillin trihydrate - semi-synthetic penicillin, belongs to beta-lactam antibiotics, inhibits the synthesis of bacterial cell walls by inhibiting transpeptidase and carboxypeptidase, which causes a violation of osmotic pressure and the death of microorganisms in the developmental stage.
Potassium clavulanate is a beta-lactam structurally related to penicillins, has little antibacterial activity, but, irreversibly inhibiting a size of beta-lactamases, prevents inactivation of amoxicillin and provides its antibiotic activity against bacteria, usually resistant to other amoxicillin-resistant amoxicillin.
