Rodotium 45% (thiamulin) powder, 1000 g
100 g of the drug contain the active substance:
thiamulin hydrogen fumarate – 45.0 g
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, povidone.
PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Tiamulin is a semi-synthetic antibiotic that belongs to the pleuromulin group. It operates at the 70S ribosomal level, the primary junction is at the 50S sublevel, and the secondary site is possible at the junctions of the 50S and 30S sublevels. Tiamulin inhibits protein synthesis by microbes, creating biochemically inactive initiative complexes that prevent the growth of the polypeptide chain. The drug is active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridia spp., Corynebacterium spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Listeria spp., Pasteurella spp., Pasteurella spp., Klebsiella spp., Haemophil spp., Haemophil spp. ., Bacteroides spp.). Characteristic properties are the action against mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, M. hyorhinis, M. hyosynoviae, M. gallisepticum, M. meleagridis) and spirochetes (Serpulina hyodysenteriae, S.
When administered orally, tiamulin hydrogen fumarate is rapidly absorbed in the digestive tract and reaches maximum serum concentrations in 2-4 hours after application. After absorption, tiamulin is well distributed to animal tissues and organs. The highest concentrations are recorded in the liver, and the lowest – in the muscles. Tiamulin remains unchanged in the liver and kidneys for only 1 day after stopping treatment. Tiamulin is completely metabolized and rapidly excreted in the urine (20-24% of the administered dose) and bile. When used in laying hens, the drug is excreted with eggs for 11-12 days.
APPLICATION
Pigs: treatment of animals with dysentery, arthritis, as well as respiratory diseases (complex of respiratory diseases – ARI, pleuropneumonia) caused by microorganisms sensitive to thiamulin.
Poultry (broiler chickens, chickens, laying and laying hens, turkeys and turkeys): treatment of poultry with chronic respiratory diseases (CRD) and alveolar saculitis, infectious sinusitis caused by M. gallisepticum, M. synoviae and M. meleagridis, sensitive to tiamulin.
DOSAGE
Orally with drinking water in doses:
pigs – for the treatment of dysentery and enterocolitis – 100 g of the drug per 1000 liters of drinking water (45 ppm tiamulin hydrogen fumarate) for 3-5 days. In cases of severe infections, treatment can be continued, and the dose will be 100 g per 750 liters of drinking water. For individual treatment – 1 g of the drug per 50 kg of body weight, dissolved in 1 liter of drinking water. For the treatment of enzootic bronchopneumonia and mycoplasmosis arthritis – the therapeutic dose is 100 g of the drug per 750 liters of drinking water (60 ppm thiamulin hydrogen fumarate) for 3-5 days;
poultry (broiler chickens, chickens, laying hens and turkeys, turkeys and turkeys) – for the treatment of chronic respiratory disease – 100 g of the drug per 180 liters of drinking water (250 ppm tiamulin hydrogen fumarate) for 3-5 days. Turkeys – for the treatment of infectious sinusitis and alveolar saculitis caused by M. gallisepticum, M. synoviae and M. Meleagridis orally with drinking water with a tiamulin concentration of 0.025% for 3-5 days.
Depending on the age of the bird, with a tiamulin content of 0.025% in drinking water, the dose is:
1-week-old bird – 70 mg of tiamulin per kg of body weight;
1-4 – week-old bird – 50 mg of tiamulin per kg of body weight;
5-8 – week-old bird – 25-30 mg of tiamulin per kg of body weight;
9-20 – week-old bird – 20 mg of tiamulin per kg of body weight.
During treatment, only drinking water containing tiamulin should be given. Prepare fresh solution daily.
CONTRAINDICATION
Hypersensitivity to tiamulin. Pigs and poultry should not use products containing monensin, narasin or salinomycin for at least 7 days before, during and after treatment with tiamulin.
ROOTS
Slaughter of animals and poultry for meat is allowed 1 day (pigs) and 7 days (poultry) after the last application of the drug. The meat obtained before this deadline is disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the opinion of the veterinarian. There is no withdrawal period for eggs.
STORAGE
Dry, dark, inaccessible to children at a temperature of 15 ° to 25 ° C.
Shelf life – 3 years.
