Bravecto® is produced with the content of the appropriate amount of active substance (fluralaner) in one tablet for dogs of different body weight.
One tablet contains the active substance fluralaner:
112.5 mg for dogs weighing 2-4.5 kg;
250.0 mg for dogs weighing 4.5-10 kg;
500.0 mg for dogs weighing 10-20 kg;
1000.0 mg for dogs weighing 20-40 kg;
1400.0 mg for dogs weighing 40-56 kg.
Excipients: pork liver flavor, sucrose, corn starch, sodium lauryl sulfate, disodium embonate monohydrate, magnesium stearate, aspartame, glycerin, soybean oil, macrogol 3350.
Pharmacological properties

The active substance of the drug fluralaner is a compound with acaricidal and insecticidal properties, active against mites (Ixodes spp., Dermatocentor spp. And Rhipicephalus sanguineus) and fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.). Fluraner inhibits the activity of the nervous system of arthropods, acting as an antagonist in ligand-dependent chloride tubules (GABA and glutamate receptors).
Fluralaner does not cause resistance in animals, which is possible with the use of other insect-acaricidal compounds. Even at fairly low concentrations, fluralaner inhibits the reproductive function (laying eggs) of fleas.
Following oral administration, fluralaner is rapidly absorbed, reaching peak plasma concentrations within one day. Intake of food accelerates absorption. Fluralaner is distributed systemically and reaches its maximum concentration in adipose tissue and further in the liver, kidneys and muscles. Prolonged retention, slow excretion from blood plasma (t ,,, = 12 days) and lack of active metabolism provides maintenance of the effective concentration of fluralaner in the interval between injections. Fluralaner has an intestinal effect on fleas and ticks, causing the death of fleas in 8 hours after their attachment to the host, ticks – in 12 hours. Fluralaner is excreted mainly in unchanged form in the feces (up to 90% of the dose), renal excretion is negligible.
Application
Prevention and treatment of dogs with ectoparasitic infestations. The drug provides long-term (up to 12 weeks) systemic insecticidal and acaricidal protection of animals in the imaginal and juvenile stages of mite development (Ixodes ricinus, I. hexagonus, I. scapularis, /. Holocyclus, Dermacentor reticulates, D. variabilis and Rhipicephalus sanguine Ctenocephalides spp.). The drug causes the death of fleas in 8 hours after they hit the body of the host, ticks – in 12 hours.
Bravecto® can be used in the complex therapy of flea allergic dermatitis.
Dosage
The tablets are administered orally during or shortly before / after feeding. The dose of fluralaner is 25-56 mg per 1 kg of body weight:

Before administration of the drug it is necessary to accurately determine the body weight of the animal by weighing.
Dogs weighing more than 56 kg should be given the appropriate combination of two tablets. Due to the content of flavorings in the tablets, the tablets are well eaten by dogs. If necessary, the tablet can be fed with food or placed on the root of the tongue. It is necessary to make sure that the tablet is swallowed by an animal. Do not break or divide the tablets.
The drug Bravecto® protects the animal from fleas and ticks for up to 12 weeks.
Contraindication
Individual hypersensitivity of animals to the active substance (fluralaner).
Do not use the drug to puppies under 8 weeks of age and/or dogs weighing up to 2 kg of body weight!
Do not use in animals with an interval of fewer than 8 weeks!
Reservation
The drug can be used during pregnancy and lactation.

Accordingly, for animals with different body weight produce tablets with different content of the active substance of fluralaner:
112.5 mg for dogs weighing 2-4.5 kg;
250.0 mg for dogs weighing 4.5-10 kg;

The drug is available in blisters of aluminum foil 1, 2 or 4 tablets, which are packed in cardboard boxes.
