Description:

Transparent, colorless or slightly yellowish viscous liquid, with Vitamin E.

Composition:

1 ml of the preparation contains ivermectin active ingredient – 10.0 mg; an auxiliary component is vitamin E (40 mg).

Pharmacological properties:

Ivermectin has a pronounced antiparasitic effect on the larval and sexually mature stages of the nematodes of the gastrointestinal tract and lungs, larvae of subcutaneous, nasopharyngeal, gastric gadfly, lice, bloodsuckers, and sarcoptoid mites. The drug enhances the production of a neurotransmitter inhibition – gamma-aminobutyric acid, which leads to impaired transmission of nerve impulses, paralysis, and death of the parasite.

Due to the micellar dosage form of ivermectin and the addition of vitamin E, the drug is rapidly absorbed from the injection site, distributed in the organs and tissues of the animal, providing a parasiticidal effect for 10 to 14 days. In recommended doses, it does not have a sensitizing, embryotoxic, teratogenic and mutagenic effect. It is excreted mainly with urine and bile, in lactating animals with milk. In the external environment, the drug is rapidly destroyed. Toxic to fish and bees.

Application:

Profiverm with vitamin E is used in cattle and sheep: for dictyocaulosis, ostertagia, hematosis, trichostrongiasis, cooperiosis, haberthiosis, protostrongilosis, esophagostomiasis, nematodirosis, bunostomiasis, trichyloidosis; pigs: with ascariasis, esophagostomiasis, trichocephalosis, metastrongylesis and strongyloidosis.

Dosage:

The drug is administered to cattle and sheep once, subcutaneously in the neck or shoulder blade; sheep in the hairless part of the elbow fold in a dose of DV 0.2 mg/kg at the rate of 1 ml of solution per 50 kg of body weight; pigs in the area of ​​the base of the ear in a dose of DV 0.3 mg/kg at the rate of 1 ml of solution per 33 kg of animal weight.

Contraindications:

Do not use for the treatment of females two weeks before birth and within two weeks after them, as well as exhausted, sick and lactating animals.

Cautions:

Slaughtering of animals allowed in 28 days after the last injection of Profiverm. In the case of slaughter animals before the deadline, the meat used to feed carnivorous animals or for the manufacture of meat and bone meal. For pigs – in 21 days.
