Seyevit Vitamin injection (Vitamin E + sodium selenite)

Prevention and treatment of animals and poultry with violations of reproductive function and fetal development, proteinuria, traumatic myositis, and cardiopathy, toxic liver dystrophy, growth retardation, and inadequate growth, infectious and invasive diseases, prophylactic vaccinations and deworming, nitrite poisoning, heavy metals and mycotoxins, stressful situations; to stimulate productivity, growth, and development of young animals.

Transparent colorless or slightly yellowish liquid with opalescence.

Active ingredient:

1 ml contains active ingredients (mg):

tocopherol acetate  (vitamin Е)– 50 mg;

sodium selenite – 0,5 mg.

Excipients: up to 1 ml.

Pharmacological properties

Seevit is a water soluble complex of vitamin E and selenium, which replenishes the body of animals and birds with vitamin E and selenium.

Vitamin E is a biological antioxidant that protects cells from damage by free radicals, is involved in fat metabolism, the formation of cell membranes, strengthens the walls of blood vessels, and also provides cellular respiration, increases overall resistance of the body, stimulates the reproductive function of animals.

Selenium is a microelement of antioxidant defense of the organism that is part of the antioxidant enzyme glutathione peroxidase, which protects membrane structures, mitochondria from peroxide lipid oxidation, has a strong immunostimulating effect, is part of the enzymes of selenoproteins, hormones, and greatly contributes to the absorption of vitamin E.

Combined (synergistic) action of vitamin E and selenium enhances the antioxidant properties of the drug, affects the metabolism of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.

The introduction of the drug leads to a rapid increase in the level of vitamin E and selenium in the blood and other tissues of the body.

Application

For prophylaxis and treatment of animals and poultry with violations of reproductive function and fetal development, proteinuria, traumatic myositis and cardiopathy, toxic liver dystrophy, growth retardation and inadequate growth, infectious and invasive diseases, prophylactic vaccinations and deworming, nitrite poisoning, heavy metals and mycotoxins, stressful situations; to stimulate productivity, growth and development of young.

Dosage

Cattle, goats, sheep – 1 ml of a drug per 50 kg body weight intramuscularly or subcutaneously; cows 60 days before the cattle– 15 ml of the preparation on the head twice at intervals of 10-14 days.

Horses – 1 ml of a drug per 50 kg body weight intramuscularly.

Calves, lambs, goats – 0,2-0,3 ml of a drug per 10 kg body weight intramuscularly or subcutaneously; orally in a mixture of water or food in a dose of 0.5 ml of the preparation per 10 kg of body weight.

Dogs, cats, fur animals – 0,04 ml of a drug per 1 kg body weight intramuscularly or subcutaneously; orally in a mixture of water or food in a dose of 0,1 ml of the preparation per 1 kg of body weight.

For preventive purposes, the drug is injected once every 2-4 months, with the therapeutic purposes – 2-3 times with intervals of 7-10 days (doses the same), if necessary, the therapeutic dose may be increased, but not more than: for cattle – 15 ml, horses – 20 ml, sheep, goats, pigs – 5 ml per head.

Before the injection (at low doses) it can be diluted with sterile water or physiological solution and mixed thoroughly.

Poultry – from the rate of 1-2 ml of the preparation per 1 liter of water, which is used during the day:

– chickens from the first day of life – once in 2-3 weeks with preventive purpose;

– young birds and adult birds – once a month with preventive purpose,  with the therapeutic purposes – 2-3 times with intervals 1-2 weeks.

Contraindication

Increased sensitivity of animals to selenium or excessive selenium content in the body and food (alkaline disease).
