Ventipulmin granules (Clenbuterol) for the bronchogenetic system of horses, 500 g (1,1 lbs)
White small granules with a slight specific odor.
Composition
Each gram of granules contains 16 μg of Clenbuterol Hydrochloride.
Pharmacological properties
Ventipulmin is a sympathomimetic amine with a high degree of selectivity to beta 2-receptors of the body, which provides intensive bronchodilation with minimal impact on the cardiovascular system.
Ventipulmin stimulates mucociliary lung clearance in horses, is well absorbed when administered orally. Oral and parenteral dosages are 0.8 micrograms per 1 kg of body weight. The time of onset of effect is identical with oral and intramuscular administration.

Application
Treatment of respiratory diseases of horses, which develop airway obstruction due to bronchospasm and / or accumulation of mucus, so enhanced mucociliary clearance is desirable. It is used alone or in combination therapy.
- Acute, subacute and chronic infections, when the presence of mucus and / or microorganisms can cause bronchospasm or airway obstruction and thus increase air resistance. For example: bronchitis, bronchiolitis and bronchopneumonia, as independent diseases or in association with equine influenza or other viral respiratory diseases.
- Acute, subacute and chronic respiratory allergies.
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in horses.
Dosage
Ventipulin granules are applied twice a day for 5 g of granules per 100 kg of body weight. The granules should be mixed with feed. The measure attached to the package contains 10 g. The extruded line on the measure marks 5 g.
The use of the drug for prophylactic purposes increases growth, reduces feed consumption per unit of output by 10-15%, reduces the incidence, and the transition to solid feed is much earlier.
Side effects
Ventipulmin is not toxic in any dosage, does not cause side effects in the body, has no carcinogenic, mutagenic, allergenic, embryotoxic effects.

Ketoprofen is a substance from the group of carboxylic acids, derivatives of propionic acid. The mechanism of action is to inhibit the synthesis of prostaglandins and thromboxane and is based on disruption of arachidonic acid metabolism. In therapeutic doses, ketoprofen inhibits mainly COX-II and partially COX-I, providing anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic and antiendotoxic effects.
After a single intramuscular injection, the maximum concentration of ketoprofen in blood plasma is observed after 30 minutes. Ketoprofen is excreted mainly by the kidneys.
Indication
Treatment of cattle, pigs, horses in acute or chronic inflammatory processes of the musculoskeletal system (arthritis, osteoarthritis, bursitis, dislocation, edema, tendovaginitis, trauma, infectious lesions of the hooves), respiratory organs, metritis-mastitis-agalactia, various forms of mastitis, pain of various etiologies (surgery, trauma, colic). Used as an antipyretic in diseases accompanied by hyperthermia and depression.
