Sinulox Synulox 500 mg (amoxicillin + Clavulanic Acid) (Analog Clavacillin, Clavamox, Clavaseptin, Betacillin), 10 tablets
General Information
In appearance, the drug is a pink tablet with a separating groove on one side and the inscription “Synulox” engraved on the other. Sinulox 500 mg tablets contain 400 mg of amoxicillin in the form of amoxicillin trihydrate and 100 mg of clavulanic acid in the form of sodium clavulanate and shaping agents.
Pharmacological properties
Sinulox is active against bacteria producing β – lactamase – a specific enzyme that causes the destruction of the antibiotic molecule before it has an effect on the bacterial cell. Clavulanate in sinulox protects amoxicillin from the action of β – lactamase by its inactivation, which allows amoxicillin to have a rapid bactericidal effect in concentrations easily achievable in the body.
Sinulox has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity against most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria released from dogs and cats.
gram-positive:
Staphylococci (including strains producing b – lactamase), Corynebacteria, Streptococci
gram-negative:
Esherichia coli (including strains producing b – lactamase), Salmonella (including strains producing b – lactamase), Bordetella bronchiseptica, Proteus, Pasteurella, Klebsiella
