Pharmacological properties

Metronidazole is a synthetic antimicrobial and antiprotozoal agent derived from 5-nitroimidazole. Has a bactericidal effect against those microorganisms whose enzyme systems are able to restore nitro groups. Metronidazole disrupts DNA replication and protein synthesis in microbial cells by inhibiting tissue respiration. Easily penetrates into the cell of sensitive microorganisms and, by binding to DNA, disrupts the replication process. Application

Treatment of cats, dogs, mink, diarrhea, ulcerative gingivitis, giardiasis, amebiasis, giardiasis, trichomoniasis, anaerobic infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to metronidazole.

Dosage

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to metronidazole. Do not use in animals with lesions of the central nervous system and in the first third of pregnancy, lactation. Do not use puppies and kittens.

Warning
