Active substance Tylosin (tylan) 200 injection: Tylosine tartrate
1 ml of the preparation contains the active ingredient: Tartrate tylosin – 200 mg.ml
1 ml of the drug contains:
tylosin tartrate – 200 mg
The liquid is light yellow, homogeneous, viscous.
Antibiotic of the macrolide group, inhibits protein synthesis in gram-positive microorganisms Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Bacillus anthracis, Corynebacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Listeria spp., Erysipelothrix spp. Brucella spp., Rickettsia spp., Spirochetes, Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma synoviae, Mycoplasma meleagridis and the like.
After application, it is rapidly absorbed and reaches maximum concentrations in tissues in about an hour. Therapeutic concentration is maintained in the body for 20-24 hours. It is excreted mainly in urine and bile, during lactation – with milk.
Treatment of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, rabbits with bronchopneumonia, pneumonia, arthritis, dysentery, mastitis, postoperative and postpartum infections, secondary bacterial infections with viral diseases, respiratory diseases and gastrointestinal tract caused by microorganisms.
Method of application and dosage
Before use, the solution is heated to a temperature of + 25-30 ° C. The drug is administered intramuscularly, once a day, the course of treatment – 3-5 days. Doses of the drug per 10 kg of body weight are:
• cattle – 0.2-0.5 ml;
• sheep, goats – 0.3-0.6 ml;
• pigs – 0.5 ml;
• dogs, cats – 0.15-0.5 ml
• rabbits – 0.6-1.2 ml.
The injection, the volume of which is greater than the following values, is divided into several parts and injected in different places:
• adult cattle – 20 ml;
• calves, sheep, goats – 10-15 ml;
• pigs, piglets – 5-10 ml.
After the last application of the drug, slaughter of animals for meat is allowed in 8 days, people can eat milk in 3 days. Meat and milk obtained before this date are disposed of or fed to non-productive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian.
Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to tylosin, liver dysfunction, resistance to tylosin or cross-resistance to other macrolide antibiotics. Do not use simultaneously with penicillins, cephalosporins and lincomycin.
