Ivermectin & Praziquantel paste
Storage
Disposable polypropylene applicator (syringe). Each syringe contains 7.74 g of a paste containing 120 mg of ivermectin (15.5 mg / g) and 600 mg of praziquantel (77.5 mg / g).
Indication
Intended for the treatment of mixed cestode-nematode and arthropod invasions in horses, namely:
- adult tapeworms: Anoplocephala perfoliate.
- large strongylids: Strongylus vulgaris (adults and larvae in the arterial stage), S. edentatus (adults and larvae in the tissue stage), S. equinus (adults), Triodontophorus spp. (adults) and Craterostomum acuticaudatum (adults).
- adults and immature larvae (intraluminal larvae of the fourth stage) of small strongylids or cyatostom, including strains resistant to benzimidazoles: Coronocyclus, Cyathostomum, Cylicocyclus, Cylicodontophorus, Cylicostephanus, Parapoteriostomom.
- adult hairy individuals: Trichostrongylus axei.
- adults and immature larvae (larvae of the fourth stage) pinworms: Oxyuris equi.
- adults, larvae of the third and fourth stages of nematodes (roundworm): Parascaris equorum.
- microfilariae of cervical nematodes: Onchocerca spp.
- adult intestinal nematels: Strongyloides westeri.
- gastric worms: Habronema muscae.
- oral and gastric stages of larvae of the gnat: Gasterophilus.
- adults and underdeveloped larvae (inhibited larvae of the fourth stage) dictyocaudus: Dictyocaulus arnfieldi.
Doses and method of application
Administered orally once at a dose of 1.29 g of paste per 100 kg of body weight, corresponding to 0.2 mg of invermectin and 1 mg of praziquantel per 1 kg of body weight. Each syringe (7.74 g of the drug) is designed for 600 kg of live weight. You need to insert the syringe into the interdental space of the horse’s mouth and squeeze the paste on the root of the tongue.
Side effects
In the case of severe onchocerciasis, some horses may experience swelling and itching after the death of a large number of microfilariae. These symptoms will disappear within a few days, but symptomatic therapy may be recommended.
In cases of severe infestation caused by tapeworms, there may be signs of weak temporary colic and loose stools.
There may be isolated cases of swelling and irritation of the mouth, lips and tongue, as well as increased salivation. The nature of these reactions is temporary, appearing within 1 hour and disappearing within 24-48 hours.
Contraindication
- Do not give to animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients.
- Do not give mares that give milk for human consumption.
- Not recommended for use in foals younger than 2 months, breeding stallions and mares during the first 3 months of pregnancy.

Storage conditions
The drug should be stored in a closed package of the manufacturer, in a dark place, out of reach of children and animals, separately from food and feed at a temperature of 0 to 25 ° C – 2 years.
