1 ml of the drug contains:

the active substance amitraz – 2 mg,

excipients: dimethyl sulfoxide, PEG-400.

Pharmacological properties

ATCvet QP53AC, pyrethroids, including synthetic compounds (ATCvet QP53AD01, amitraz).

Amitraz is an acaricide from the group of amidines, active against sarcoptoid mites (Otodectes spp., Psoroptes, Notoedres cati), as well as Demodex spp. Amitraz acts by contact, disrupting the octopamine receptors of the nervous system of the mite, which causes paralysis and death of parasites, has a negative effect on the reproductive organs of female mites, reducing egg production and viability.

The drug is effective against resistant populations of mites resistant to chlorine and phosphoorganic insecticides, penetrates and is deposited in the epidermis, hair follicles, sebaceous and sweat glands. It has anti-inflammatory, bactericidal and emollient action.

Application

Treatment of dogs, cats and fur animals with otodectosis, sarcoptosis, notohedrosis, demodicosis.

Dosage

At an otodectosis drip 0,2-0,5 ml of drug, depending on the size of an animal, in both ears (even in cases of defeat of only one). Preliminarily, the ear canal is cleaned of scabs and crusts with a swab moistened with the drug, for complete treatment of the ear surface, the auricle is folded in half lengthwise and lightly massaged. Treatment is performed once a day for 3 days until the disappearance of clinical signs of the disease (3-5 treatments).

In demodicosis, sarcoptosis and notohedrosis, the drug is applied to pre-cleansed affected areas of skin from the periphery to the center at a rate of 0.5 ml / kg body weight once a day for 2-3 days until the disappearance of clinical signs of the disease (6-8 treatments), additionally treat the skin around the affected areas with a width of at least 1 cm. With a large area of ​​skin lesions, it is recommended to treat the affected areas first on one half of the animal’s body, a day later – on the other half of the body.

Three drops of the drug from the vial with a dispenser and 12 drops of the drug from the vial with a stopper-dropper correspond to 0.5 ml.

Contraindication

Individual sensitivity to the drug (amitraz).

Do not use in pregnant and lactating females, as well as puppies and kittens under 2 months of age.

Reservation

When applying the drug to damaged skin, pain occurs in animals.

When handling animals, use plastic or rubber gloves.

Release form

Polymer bottles with a stopper-dropper or the batcher-dropper on 10, 30 ml.

Storage

Dry, dark, inaccessible to children at a temperature of 5 to 25 ° C.
