Description:

Composition:

normal immunoglobulin of pig blood serum – 50.0;
iron dextran – 7.0;
thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B ₁ hydrochloride ) – 0.03;
riboflavin (vitamin B ₂ ) – 0.0114;
pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B ₆ hydrochloride ) – 0.0028;
nicotinamide (vitamin PP) – 0.4284;
calcium pantothenate – 0.016;
copper chloride – 0.02707;
cobalt chloride anhydrous – 0.00266.
Excipients: thiomersal (sodium merthiolate), physiological saline solution.

The iron dextran complex prevents iron deficiency, which is part of hemoglobin and myoglobin, more than 70 different enzymes (cytochromes, catalase, peroxidase, cytochrome oxidase), which perform the following functions in the body: electron transport in the processes of tissue respiration (cytochrome), transport and deposition of oxygen (hemoglobin, myoglobin), transport and deposition of iron (transferin, hemosiderin, ferritin).
Iron is involved in the formation of redox enzymes of the antioxidant defense system: superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase, peroxidases, which decompose hydrogen peroxide, and glutathione peroxidase, in addition, restores fatty acid hydroperoxides.
B vitamins as coenzymes are part of various enzymes involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, amino acids, tissue respiration processes, the functioning of the central nervous system and the organ of vision.
Immunoglobulin normal blood serum of pigs – an aqueous solution of the globulin fraction of blood serum protein, contains a complex of gamma and beta globulins, which stimulate the protective functions of the body, in particular the phagocytic activity of micro- and macrophagocytes, the bactericidal properties of blood serum, enhance the processes of incorporation of amino acids into the structure of proteins .

Application:
The drug is used for the prevention of iron deficiency anemia and the treatment of anemic piglets, the prevention of hypogammaglobulinemia and the stimulation of nonspecific resistance factors.

Dosage:
The drug is administered to piglets from 3-4 days of life intramuscularly in the following doses:
piglets under the age of 10 days – 3 ml, repeatedly – 7-10 days;
piglets at the age of 10-20 days – 5 ml, if necessary, again after 7-10 days;
piglets over the age of 20 days – 10 ml, if necessary, again after 7-10 days.
