Description
The liquid is yellow, oily, transparent, with the smell of camphor.
Pharmacological properties
Camphor oil is used externally as an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antiseptic.
The drug has a pronounced bacteriostatic effect against coccal forms of microorganisms. When applied to the skin, it causes a short-term feeling of cold (the temperature at the site of application does not decrease, but increases slightly), which is replaced by a feeling of warmth and pain. Acting locally, camphor causes redness of the skin, and with prolonged exposure reduces the sensitivity of nerve endings, slows down the movement of leukocytes and their migration from blood vessels.
Well absorbed by the skin and mucous membranes. When resorbed, it stimulates respiration and the work of the cardiovascular system.
Indication
Treatment of cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats with various skin diseases, rheumatic muscle diseases, purulent tendovaginitis, phlegmon, fistula, slaughter.
Protection of animals during the activity of disgust.
Method of application and dosage
The drug is applied externally after aseptic treatment of the affected area of skin. The oil is rubbed or applied with tampons and applications 2-4 times a day until the signs of the disease disappear. The duration of treatment is determined by the nature of the disease.
Reservation
Do not use in animals before slaughter for meat.
Contraindication
Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to camphor.
