Thymol

In apiaries of beekeepers, as a result of invasive diseases, for example, Acarapidosis and Varroatosis, a large number of adult bees often die. An effective way to treat these dangerous diseases of bee colonies is the medicinal substance Timol. It is also used as a preventive measure to prevent Nosematosis, Ascospherosis and foulbrood diseases of bee brood.

Thymol is an organic substance that looks like colorless crystals with an unusual odor and a pungent taste. It dissolves without residue in organic solvents and practically remains unchanged in cold water. In nature, it is found in essential oils, in particular in thyme oil, which is extracted from the leaves of common thyme (thyme). Hence this compound got its name.
