Oxytetracycline - 100 mg (Liquamycin analog)
Oxytetracycline hydrochloride belongs to the group of tetracycline antibiotics. It is obtained from the culture of the fungus Streptomyces rimosus. Easily penetrates the cell membrane. Acting on the ribosomes of bacteria, it disrupts the protein synthesis of the microbial cell in most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including streptococci, staphylococci, corynebacteria, clostridia, erysipelotrix, Pasteurella, salmonella, pseudomonas, actinobacteria, Escherichia riche, spicherichia. When administered intramuscularly, oxytetracycline is rapidly absorbed from the injection site and reaches maximum tissue concentrations approximately 30-50 minutes after administration. The therapeutic level of the antibiotic remains in the body for 24 hours. It is excreted from the body mainly with urine and bile secretion, in lactating animals - with milk.
