Description

Powder white or white with a slightly yellowish tinge.

Storage

1 vial of the drug contains the active substances:

benzathine benzylpenicillin sterile (Bicilin-1) – 200,000 units,

benzylpenicillin sodium salt sterile – 200,000 units,

benzylpenicillin novocaine salt sterile – 200,000 units.

Pharmacological properties

Bicillin®-3 belongs to the group of penicillins sensitive to ß-lactamases.

The drug prevents the formation of peptide bonds by inhibiting transpeptidase, disrupts the late stages of synthesis of peptidoglycan cell membrane, which leads to lysis of dividing cells.

Bicillin®-3 acts bacteriostatically on gram-positive bacteria (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Bacillus spp., To a lesser extent in relation to Enterococcus spp., Listeria (L. monocytogenes), erysipelotrix (E. rhusiobacteria, anaerobic bacteria (actinomycetes, Peptostreptococcus spp., Clostridium spp.), spirochetes (Treponema spp., Borrelia spp., Leptospira spp.). Neisseria spp., P. multocida, H. dugreyi are sensitive to the drug from gram-negative bacteria.

Application

Treatment of cattle, sheep, goats, horses, foxes, foxes, minks, dogs, pigs, patients with necrobacteriosis, pasteurellosis, pneumonia, mastitis, metritis, wound infection, otitis, urinary tract infections, septicemia, phlegmon; actinomycosis, emphysematous carbuncle; streptococcal septicemia of cattle, sheep and goats; equine duties, stachyobotriotoxicosis, streptococcus, staphylococcus, infectious stomatitis, rhinitis, plague of fur-bearing animals and dogs, pig bites caused by microorganisms sensitive to the components of the drug.

Dosage

The suspension of the drug is prepared immediately before administration, for which the vial is added 5-6 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution or sterile water for injection, or 0.25-0.5% solution of novocaine, stirred until a uniform mixture.

Bicillin®-3 is administered intramuscularly once every 5-6 days in the following doses (per 1 kg of body weight):

Contraindication

Hypersensitivity to drugs of the penicillin or novocaine group.

Do not use on guinea pigs, hamsters.

Warning

Slaughter of animals for meat and consumption of milk for human consumption is allowed, respectively, 14 and 7 days after the last use of the drug. The meat and milk obtained by this deadline are disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the opinion of the veterinarian.
