Description:
Transparent, colorless, jelly-like liquid with a weak specific odor.
Composition:
100 ml of the preparation contains active ingredients (g):
polyhexamethylene guanidine hydrochloride – 6.5;
dodecyldipropylene triamine – 6.5.
Excipients: glutamic acid, cocoamidopropyl betaine, demineralized water.
Pharmacological properties:
The drug has a bactericidal and sporicidal effect on most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Brucella spp., Сlostridium spp., Klebsiella spp., Listeria spp., Proteus spp., Pseudomonas spp., Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus jejuni, C. fetus, E. coli, Lactobacillus arten, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Y. enterocolitica, etc.); virucidal action on RNA-containing viruses (Avibirnavirus, Paramixovirus, Orthomixovirus) and DNA-containing viruses (Parvovirus, Dependovirus, Aviadenovirus, Avipoxvirus, Circovirus).
The drug has an antiprotozoal effect on eimeria (E. tenella, E. maxima, E. acervulina, E. necatrix, E. mitis, etc.); fungicidal against fungi (Aspergillus spp., Candida albicaus, Trichophyton spp., Saccharomyces cerevisia, etc.), has deodorant properties.
Application:
The drug is used for disinfection (or in combination of washing and disinfection), decontamination and disinfection of various objects subject to veterinary supervision, namely:
sections of the technological cycle of the poultry industry (hatchery and pre-incubation reorganization of eggs, ensuring the cleanliness of the water supply system and maintaining the optimal bacterial background of drinking water);
equipment for slaughterhouses and workshops for the processing of meat, dairy and other products of animal origin;
trade, laboratory premises and their inventory;
vehicles for products of animal origin and in quarantine zones;
various livestock buildings, as well as cages and other places for keeping small animals and birds, especially after their deworming;
rehabilitation of plumbing systems and liquid feed lines in pigsties and fur farms.
Dosage:
The agent is used in the form of aqueous working solutions, which are prepared in containers from any material by mixing the agent concentrate with tap water.
Disinfection is carried out after thorough mechanical and sanitary cleaning of the surfaces of the objects to be disinfected.
Preventive, forced, current and final disinfection for infectious diseases of bacterial and viral etiology (including tuberculosis) is carried out by wiping or irrigation using various fine sprayers until they are completely moistened.
For preventive and current disinfection, the optimal amount is the consumption of 0.3-0.4 l of the working solution for each square meter of the object to be treated.
For disinfection, working solutions of the drug of the following concentrations are used:
0.1% (10 ml per 10 l of water) – for the sanitation of milking equipment and milk processing facilities, feeders, drinkers for animals and poultry;
0.25% (25 ml per 10 liters of water) – preventive disinfection of premises and equipment in the presence of animals or birds, disinfection of hatching eggs;
0.5% (50 ml per 10 liters of water) – aseptic cleaning of slaughterhouses, meat processing shops, refrigeration chambers, reorganization of equipment in hatcheries, retail, laboratory premises, vehicles;
1.0% (100 ml per 10 liters of water) – preventive disinfection of equipment, bunkers and feed rooms, disinfection of shearing tools;
1.5% (150 ml per 10 liters of water) – current disinfection of livestock buildings during sanitary breaks, disinfection of vehicle wheels when crossing quarantine zones;
2.0% (200 ml per 10 l of water) – disinfection in case of protozoal diseases of animals and poultry, disinfection of places where sick animals and birds are kept, including in case of contamination of premises with mycobacteria;
3.0% (300 ml per 10 liters of water) – forced and ongoing disinfection in a set of measures to improve the health of farms from tuberculosis (under verification).
Contraindications:
Not established.
Caveats:
When working with drug solutions, general hygiene and safety rules should be observed.
The personnel performing the disinfection work must be provided with personal protective equipment for the respiratory organs, skin and eyes: overalls (dressing gown, hat, apron made of rubberized fabric, rubber gloves, goggles type PO-2 or monoblock, respirator type “Petal”).
Solutions of more than 3% concentration may cause skin irritation, therefore rubber gloves and goggles should be used when working with them. If an undiluted drug gets on open parts of the body, they are immediately washed with running water.
It is forbidden to smoke, drink, eat while performing disinfection work. At the end of work, face and hands should be washed with soap and water.
