One tablet (1600 mg) of ActiVet® contains the following active substances: Methylsulfonylmethane – MSM (Source of natural sulfur) 320 mg; D-glucosamine HCL 300 mg; Vitamin Ester C® 80 mg; Shark cartilage Chondroitin 66 mg; Boswellia (Boswellia serrata) 65% extract 20 mg.
One ActiVet®20 tablet (3200 mg) contains the following active substances: Methylsulfonylmethane – MSM (Source of natural sulfur) 640 mg; D-glucosamine HCL 600 mg; Vitamin Ester C® 160 mg; Shark cartilage Chondroitin 132 mg; Boswellia (Boswellia serrata) 65% extract 40 mg

ActiVET® – round, flat tablets, light beige in color, with a light and pleasant smell and taste for dogs. The tablets can be with or without a separator line in the middle.

ActiVET® tablets are packed in polyethylene jars of the corresponding volume, each containing 90 tablets. ActiVet®20 (3200 mg) in packs of 100 and 240 tablets.

2. Pharmacological properties of ActiVET®
Pharmacological properties are determined by the active substances contained in the preparation.
2.1
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a natural source of sulfur. MSM is the main constituent of connective tissue. MSM promotes intracellular metabolism, provides and activates an effective synergistic interaction of other components.
2.2
D-Glucosamine HCL is essential for the restoration of joint surfaces and for the synthesis of collagen, prostaglandin and hyaluronic acid.
2.3
Vitamin Ester C® is a patented form of vitamin C; antioxidant with a long-lasting effect, pH neutral (does not damage enamel, does not irritate the mucous membrane of the digestive tract), the period of elimination from the body is at least 24 hours.
2.4
Shark cartilage Chondroitin enhances the effect of D-glucosamine HCL, provides a certain amount of fluid necessary for the joints (lubricates the joint).
2.5
Boswellia (Boswellia serrata) 65% extract is a natural anti-inflammatory agent with analgesic properties and also improves blood circulation.
3. Application of ActiVET®
3.1
ActiVet® is given to dogs for the maintenance of joint function, prevention of traumatic, degenerative and rheumatic diseases and therapy.
3.2
Usage of ActiVet®:
– Weight up to 10 kg – 1 tablet per day
– Weight from 10 kg to 20 kg – 2 tablets per day
– Weight from 20 kg to 30 kg – 3 tablets per day
– Weight from 30 kg to 40 kg – 4 tablets per day;
– Weight over 40 kg – 5 tablets per day
Use of ActiVet® 20 (for 3200 mg):
– Weight up to 10 kg – 1/2 tablet per day
– Weight from 10 kg to 20 kg – 1 tablet per day
– Weight from 20 kg up to 40 kg – 2 tablets per day
– Weight from 40 kg to 60 kg – 3 tablets per day
– Weight over 60 kg – 5 tablets per day

3.3
A double dose is recommended for the first 7 days. For optimal results, the drug must be taken for at least 45 days. The optimal course is 45-120 days. For dogs with chronic joint problems, with a tendency to joint injuries and for older animals, the drug should be fed regularly, at least 2-3 times a year. In cases of severe illness, continuous feeding with the drug is permissible. ActiVet® can be used as a supplement or in combination with other symptomatic medications.
