Pharmacological properties:
ΠΠ’Π‘vet QP53, ectoparasiticides, insecticides and repellents (QP53AX15, fipronil).
The pharmacological properties of the drug are due to the properties of the active substance.Β Fipronil, belongs to the phenylpyrazole group, is characterized by a pronounced contact insect-acaricidal action against fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.), Parasitiform and scabies mites (Rhipicephalus spp., Dermacentor spp., Ixodes spp.) And lice (Felicola subrostratus) in dogs.Β The mechanism of action of fipronil is to block the GABA-dependent receptors of ectoparasites, disrupt the transmission of nerve impulses, which leads to paralysis and death of insects and ticks.
During the day, the drug evenly spreads over the entire surface of the skin and hair, accumulating in the sebaceous glands and epidermis, and exhibits a long-term protective effect against ectoparasites.Β According to the degree of action on the mammalian organism, Fipronil belongs to moderately safe substances and, in recommended doses, does not have a local irritant, resorptive-toxic, mutagenic, teratogenic and sensitizing effect.
Depending on the level of infestation, the duration of protection of animals from fleas is 2 months, from ticks – up to 1 month.
Application:
Treatment and prevention of dogs affected by fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.), Parasitiform and scabby mites (Rhipicephalus spp., Dermacentor spp., Ixodes spp.) And hair beetles (Trichodectes canis).
