Description

Combistress (Acepromazine maleate 20 mg) Solution, 150 ml (50 ml*3 pcs)

Structure:
Acepromazine maleate 20 mg

Filler up to 1 ml.

Properties:
Acepromazine is a derivative of phenothiazine and has sedative, antispasmodic and antiemetic properties.

Intended use:
horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats.

Indications:
As a preanesthetic in conjunction with general anesthetics. Prescribe Combistress 15-20 minutes before using general anesthetics.

For neuroleptanalgesia together with analgesics.

For tranquilization or sedation of uncontrollable animals (agitated, irritable, aggressive animals) and before various procedures and treatments (eg together with local anesthetics).

Antispasmodic: Spasmodic colic in horses.

Contraindications:
In combination with epidural anesthesia with local anesthetics (increased hypotension).

Intoxication (convulsions) with strychnine and thetan.

Hypovolemic anemia and hypovolemic shock

Caveats:
It is recommended to administer Combistress to stallions only intramuscularly and to adhere to the lowest possible dosage to prevent paralysis of the contracting muscles of the penis.

Brachycephalic broods should be treated with caution. In the case of general weakening, cardinal disorders and liver diseases, it is necessary to prescribe a reduced dosage.

Directions for use and dosage:
Combistress is given by deep intramuscular, subcutaneous (small animals) or slow intravenous administration at the following dosages:

Horses, cattle, sheep, goats: 0.05 mg / kg or 0.125 ml / 50 kg body weight – I.V. ; 0.05-0.1 mg / kg or 0.125-0.25 ml / 50 kg body weight – I.M.

Pigs: 0.05-0.1 mg / kg or 0.125-0.25 ml / 50 kg body weight – I.V. ; 0.1-0.2 mg / kg or 0.25-0.5 ml / 50 kg body weight – I.M.

Dogs, cats: preanesthetics: 0.1-0.2 mg / kg or 0.1-0.2 ml / 20 kg body weight – I.M., S.C.

sedative effect: dogs: 0.2-1 mg / kg or 0.2-1 ml / 20 kg body weight – I.M., S.C.

cats: 1-2 mg / kg or 0.2-0.4 ml / 4 kg body weight – I.M., S.C.
