Pharmacological power
Chloramphenicol is a synthetic antibiotic with a broad spectrum of antimicrobial action, active against most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms such as: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Shigella spp., Brucellaspp., Pastelila sculeurela. ., Bacillus anthracis, Corynebacterium pyogenes, Erysipelothrixrhusiopathiae, as well as rickettsia (Ricketssia spp.), Mycoplasma (Mycoplasma spp.), Chlamydia (Chlamydia spp.). The action of chloramphenicol is to bind to the 50S ribosomal subunit, which leads to inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis.
Application
Treatment of infected skin wounds, hoof and claw diseases, umbilical cord treatment in newborns; prevention of postoperative complications
Dosage
The affected area is treated with the drug 1-2 times a day by spraying for a few seconds. It is recommended to apply a regular bandage, which is changed when treating the affected area. The duration of treatment depends on the course of the disease.
