100 g of the drug contains active substances (g): salicylic acid – 20.0; resorcinol – 5.0.

Pharmacological properties

Combined antipapilloma drug based on keratolytic agents: salicylic acid and resorcinol.

The double action of salicylic acid and resorcinol promotes the rejection of keratin cells, macerates the stratum corneum of the epidermis, enhances the regeneration of damaged skin tissues, delays the growth of many microorganisms and fungi, helps to destroy the mycelium of the latter. Resorcinol dries the stratum corneum and has a local anesthetic and antipruritic effect.

Application

The drug is used alone or in combination for the treatment of cows with papillomas (warts) of the udder; cats, dogs and fur animals with dermatosis, dyskeratosis, ichthyosis, trichophytia, focal microsporia.

Dosage

Before applying the ointment, the skin around the papilloma is lubricated with lanolin or Vaseline. On papillomas (warts) apply Papillon ointment twice a day in the morning and evening (after morning and evening milking) for 1-2 weeks. It is possible to use an adhesive plaster or adhesive bandage.

Before milking, the ointment is washed off with warm water.

If necessary, the treatment is repeated.

At dermatosis, dyskeratosis, ichthyosis Papillon ointment is applied in a thin layer 2-3 times a day for 2-5 g on the skin surface with an area of ​​5×5 cm. Treatment is continued until the permanent disappearance of the disease.

In trichophytia and microsporia Papillon ointment is rubbed into the affected areas, capturing healthy skin 1 cm around, twice a day for 2-3 weeks before the appearance of hair and a negative laboratory analysis of the affected area.

Contraindication

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the drug.

Do not use simultaneously with strong oxidants (Bertoletto salt, potassium permanganate, etc.).

Reservation

Apply only on the affected areas of the body. Do not allow animals to lick the drug. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Side effect

Itching and burning sensation at the application site may occur.
