Dewormer, anthelmintic tablets for cats, puppies, and dogs of small breeds.

Description

Tablets from light yellow to dark yellow color with a smooth surface with specks, flat-cylindrical with a facet and a line, with a specific smell. Marbling is allowed on the surface of the tablets.

Storage

1 tablet, weighing 0.5 g, contains the active substances:

• Pyrantel pamoate (embonat) – 0.230 g;
• Praziquantel – 0.02 g

Excipients: cellulose-102 microcrystalline, croscarmellose sodium, milk sugar, potato starch, flavor, talc, calcium stearate.

Pharmacological properties

ATCvet QP52A, anti-trematodic, anti-nematode and anti-cestode veterinary drugs (QP52AA51 praziquantel, combinations)

A wide range of anthelmintic action on round and tapeworms is based on the pharmacological action of the components of Envair.

Pyrantel pamoate (embonate) is active against nematodes (roundworms), affects their cholinergic receptors, which leads to irreversible spastic paralysis of parasites. Nematodes are excreted from the body of animals by peristaltic bowel movements.

Praziquantel is active against cestodes (tapeworms), increases the permeability of membranes for calcium ions, causes an increase in muscle activity, which is replaced by muscle contraction and spastic paralysis, causes destruction of the outer cover of cestodes in adult forms. In some cases, tapeworms are completely digested by praziquantel and are not detected in the feces.

Application

Deworming of dogs (small breeds and puppies from 4 weeks of age) with {Dipylidium sapipit, Taenia pisiformis, T. hydatigera, Echinococcus granulosus, E. multilocularis, Multiceps multiceps, etc.), nematodes (Ancylostoma sapicit, Uncinaria) {Toxocara canis, T. leonina), and Trichuris vulpis and some other nematodes.

Dosage

Deworming of cats, puppies and dogs of small breeds is carried out once a quarter, individually. The drug is given with food once without starvation.

The drug is administered orally twice with an interval of 14 days.

At intensive defeats by helminths apply twice with an interval of 3-4 days. Depending on the age and body weight of the animals, the following doses are recommended:

Contraindication

• individual sensitivity to the components of the drug;
• concomitant use with drugs containing piperazine;
• use for debilitated and sick animals, animals with liver disease;
• kittens under 6 weeks of age;
• puppies under 4 weeks of age;
• do not use the drug in females 1 week before delivery.

Reservation

The recommended doses for deworming should be followed.

The drug can be used during lactating females, provided that puppies reach 4 weeks of age and kittens at 6 weeks of age.

Store in the original package separately from food and feed at a temperature of 5-25 ° C.
