Dewormer, anthelmintic tablets for dogs

Description

Tablets from light yellow to dark yellow color with a smooth surface with patches, flat-cylindrical with a bevel and a line, with a specific smell. Marbling is allowed on the surface of the tablets.

Storage

1 tablet weighing 0.65 g contains the active substances:

• febantel – 0.150 g;
• Pyrantel pamoate (embonat) – 0.144 g;
• praziquantel – 0.050 g

Excipients: cellulose-102 microcrystalline, croscarmellose sodium, milk sugar, potato starch, flavor, talc, calcium stearate.

Pharmacological properties

A wide range of anthelmintic action on round and tapeworms is based on the pharmacological action of the components of the drug Envair ® for dogs.

Febantel blocks the energy metabolism of roundworms, which disrupts energy metabolism and causes their death.

Pyrantel pamoate (embonate) is active against nematodes (roundworms), affects their cholinergic receptors, leading to irreversible spastic paralysis of parasites. Nematodes are excreted from the body of animals by peristaltic bowel movements.

Praziquantel is active against cestodes (tapeworms), increases the permeability of membranes for calcium ions, causes an increase in muscle activity, which is replaced by muscle contraction and spastic paralysis, causes destruction of the outer cover of cestodes in adult forms. In some cases, tapeworms under the action of praziquantel are completely digested and therefore are not detected in the feces.

Application

Deworming of dogs in cestodes (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia pisiformis, T. hydatigera, Echinococcus granulosus, E. multilocularis, Multiceps multiceps, etc.) nematodes (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala), ascaridosis (Trichinosis and Toxocaca) ) and some other nematodes.

Dosage

Deworming of dogs is carried out once a quarter, individually. The drug is given with food, once.

Depending on the bodyweight of the animals, the following doses are recommended:

Contraindication

Do not use simultaneously with piperazine.

Do not use in weakened and sick animals, animals with liver disease.

Do not use in pregnant females in the week before delivery.

Do not use in lactating females.

Reservation

At a considerable overdose clinical signs of an overdose are observed: decrease in appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, ataxia, decrease in number of erythrocytes, neutrophils and thrombocytes in blood.

The recommended doses should be followed.

Deworming of dogs should be carried out from 1 month of age.

Storage

Store in the original package, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 5-25 ° C.
