Description:

Dense oily mass of white or light yellow color with a faint specific odor.

1 g of ointment contains the active substance:

streptocide -100 mg.

Excipients: anthracin 55, veterinary vaseline.

Pharmacological properties:

The ointment has antiseptic, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory action, which is due to the content of streptocide. Streptocide – sulfonamide of bacteriostatic action, active against gram-positive (Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp. And others) and gram-negative microorganisms (Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Klebsiella spp., Klebsiella spp., Klebsiella spp., Klebsiella spp., Klebsiella spp., Klebsiella spp. , Bordetella spp., Shigella spp. And others). As a competitive antagonist of para-aminobenzoic (PAB) acid, streptocide is included in the metabolic chain of microorganisms, which leads to disruption of the synthesis of dihydrofolic and then tetrahydrofolic acids and, as a consequence, to disruption of nucleic acid synthesis and metabolic processes in microbial cells.

Application:

Dosage:
