Lincomycin-Spectinomycin 10% Sterile Solution , 100 ml
Storage
1 ml of the drug contains the active substance:
lincomycin (hydrochloride) 50 mg;
spectinomycin (sulfate) 100 mg.
Excipients: benzyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide, dilute hydrochloric acid, water for injections.
Pharmacological properties
The combination of lincomycin-spectomycin is characterized by a broad spectrum of action due to the synergistic effect.
Lincomycin is a lincosamide antibiotic, a product of Streptomyces lincolnensis.Β Mechanism of action – inhibition of protein synthesis at the level of the ribosomal subunit 50S.Β Lincomycin acts on gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Bacillus anthracis, Corynebacterium spp., Actinobacillus spp., Bordetella spp., Some species of Nocardis and Actinomyces spp. Co., Especially effective).
Spectinomycin is an aminocyclic antibiotic derived from Streptomyces spectabilis.Β It acts mainly on gram-negative microorganisms (E. coli, Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella spp., Clostridium spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Haemophilus spp., Vibrio spp.), As well as mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma spp.).Β Mechanism of action – inhibition of protein synthesis at the level of the ribosomal subunit 30S.
