Description

White or light yellow powder, microgranular, odorless.

Pharmacological properties

Broad-spectrum anthelmintic. Effective against preimaginal and mature stages of fasciol in the early stages of invasion, as well as dicrocelium – Fasciola hepatica, F. gigantica, Dicrocoelium lanceatum, nematodes of the gastrointestinal tract and lungs – families Dictyocaulus, Haemonchus, Ostertagia, Nematrostushoperia, Marshallagia Chabertia, etc., mature cestodes of the genera Moniezia, Trisanosoma.

Albendazole belongs to the group of benzimidazoles. Inhibits protein (tubular) synthesis, resulting in impaired supply and intracellular transport of nutrients, metabolism of substrates (adenosine triphosphate and glucose), inhibition of fumarate reductase reduces mitochondrial reactions, leading to the death of parasites.

Triclabendazole interacts with tubulozole receptors, which leads to impaired tubulin, but does not have a teratogenic effect on animals. Inhibits protein synthesis in fasciols and can destroy oxidative phosphorylation, which causes the death of fasciols of all forms of development within a few hours after drug administration.

Indication

Treatment of cattle, sheep, goats for fasciolosis and associative helminthiasis (bunostomosis, hemonhosis, dicroceliosis, dictyocaulosis, moniesiosis, tyzanieosis, haberthiasis, etc.).

Contraindication

Do not prescribe to females in the first third of pregnancy, ewes during mating and in the first month after hatching.

Method of application and dosage

The drug is used once with feed or water in the following doses per 10 kg of body weight:

• cattle – 1 g;
• sheep, goats – 0.75 g

Therapeutic and prophylactic deworming of cattle grazing on pastures is carried out at the beginning of the stall period.

Reservation
