Amoxicillin, which is part of Klamoxil LA, is a semisynthetic antibiotic of the penicillin group, exhibits a bactericidal effect against gram-positive microorganisms, including Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus suis, Streptococcus faecalis, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Lhuso-rsipeterium, Erysipethysterium, Erysipethysterium Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium perfringens, as well as aerobic gram-negative microorganisms, including Hemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Proteus mirabilis, Moraxella bovis, Fusobacterium hycrophorus, Brachteriaeysp.
Amoxicillin is not active against microorganisms that produce beta-lactamase.
The mechanism of action of amoxicillin on a cell of a microorganism is to disrupt the synthesis of the cell wall by inhibiting the formation of transpeptide bonds necessary for cross-linking peptidoglycan.
When administered parenterally, amoxicillin is gradually absorbed from the injection site and penetrates into all organs and tissues of the animal. The maximum concentration of the antibiotic in the blood is observed 2 hours after intramuscular or subcutaneous injection of the drug and remains at a therapeutic level for 48 hours.
Amoxicillin is excreted unchanged in the bile and urine.
Clamoxil LA is classified as a moderately hazardous compound in terms of its effect on the body.
The order of application and dose:

A contraindication to the use of Klamoxil LA is the individual hypersensitivity of animals to antibiotics of the penicillin series. The drug should not be used for infections caused by bacteria that form penicillinase.
The drug is administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously at a dose of 1 ml per 10 kg of animal weight, which corresponds to 15 mg of amoxicillin per 1 kg of animal weight. The volume of administration in one place of the drug for cattle should not exceed 20 ml, for pigs – 10 ml, for sheep – 5 ml, for dogs and cats the volume of administration is not standardized.
