Composition and form of release
Enroxil 10% injection solution as an active ingredient in 1 ml contains 100 mg of enrofloxacin, as well as auxiliary components: potassium hydroxide, butanol and water for injection. In appearance, it is a clear, light yellow solution for injection. The drug is packaged in dark glass bottles of 50 and 100 ml.
Pharmacological properties
Enrofloxacin belongs to the group of fluoroquinolones and has antimicrobial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including strains of Escherichia spp., Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., Borysiella spp., Psepp., Campylobacter spp., Corynebacterium spp., Proteus spp., Listeria spp., Clostridium spp., Actinobacillus spp., Mycoplasma spp., Haemophilus spp. The mechanism of action of the drug is based on its ability to inhibit the activity of the enzyme gyrase, which is involved in the replication of the DNA helix in the nucleus of a bacterial cell. The drug is well absorbed from the injection site and penetrates into all organs and tissues of the body. The maximum concentration of enrofloxacin in blood plasma is reached after 1 – 1.5 hours and lasts for 6 hours, therapeutic – 24 hours. The drug is excreted mainly unchanged in urine and bile. According to the degree of impact on the body of warm-blooded animals, the drug belongs to low-hazard substances and in recommended doses does not have a local irritating, resorptive-toxic, allergenic and sensitizing effect.

Doses and method of administration
Enroxil 10% is used in cattle subcutaneously, in pigs – intramuscularly once a day for 2 – 3 days at a dose of 0.25 ml per 10 kg of animal weight (2.5 mg of enrofloxacin per 1 kg of animal weight according to DV). In case of salmonellosis and respiratory tract infections, Enroxil 10% is administered at a dose of 0.5 ml per 10 kg of animal weight (5 mg of enrofloxacin per 1 kg of animal weight according to DV) for 5 days. It is not recommended to inject more than 5 ml into one place for cattle, more than 2.5 ml for pigs.

Side effects
In some cases, with increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug or violation of the order of intake and dosing, allergic reactions, changes in appetite and diarrhea may occur. If these signs appear, the drug should be discontinued.
Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the drug. It is not recommended to use the drug in a dairy herd, due to the accumulation of enrofloxacin in milk, as well as in pregnant animals and in case of liver and kidney diseases. The drug is not compatible with antibiotics tetracyclines, macrolides and chloramphenicol.

Manipulations with the drug should be carried out with strict adherence to the rules of asepsis and antiseptics, to avoid contamination of the drug. A drug with an expired shelf life, in the presence of mechanical impurities and turbidity, is subject to mandatory rejection and disposal. Individual sterile needles are used for each animal. Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed 14 days after the last use of the drug. Meat and offal of animals that were forcedly killed before the expiration of the specified period can be used as feed for fur animals or for the production of meat and bone meal.
Storage conditions
Store in a dry, dark place and out of reach of children and animals, separately from food and feed at a temperature of 5 to 25 ° C. Shelf life is 3 years.
