Milbemax for cats 2 – 8 kg, 16/40 mg, 2 tablets (milbemycin oxime + praziquantel)
Composition
One tablet (weighing 132.5 g) contains active ingredients:
praziquantel – 40 mg
milbemycin oxime – 16 mg
Auxiliary components: microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, povidone, lactose monohydrate, colloidal silicon and magnesium stearate.

Indications for use
Milbemax is prescribed for the treatment, deworming and prophylaxis of nematodes, cestodes, and mixed nematodes-cestodes, which are caused by the following types of helminths:
цестоды – Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp.
нематоды – Ancylostoma caninum, Toxocara cati.
prevention of dirofilariasis (Dirofilaria immitis) with a single use of the drug against cestodes.
Doses and method of administration
Recommended dosage: 2 mg of milbemycin oxime and 5 mg of praziquantel per kg of body weight, once orally, individually in the morning feeding with a small amount of food or injected by force on the root of the tongue after feeding.
Depending on the body weight of the animals, the dosage is recommended:
Bodyweight, number of tablets
2 – 4 kg 1/2 tablet
4 – 8 kg 1 tablet
8 – 12 kg 1½ tablets
No prior fasting diet and laxatives are required.
Preventive deworming is recommended on a quarterly basis, as well as before vaccination and mating.
Milbemax can be included in the program for the prevention of dirofilariasis while using the drug against cestodes.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Do not use in sick, emaciated or weakened animals.
do not use the drug in cats weighing less than 2 kg.
Do not administer to animals with impaired renal and liver function.
Storage
In sealed manufacturer’s packaging in a dry, dark place, out of reach of children and animals, separately from food and feed, at a temperature of 5 ° C to 25 ° C. The shelf life of the drug, subject to storage conditions in a sealed package, is 3 years from the date of manufacture; after opening the blister – no more than 1 month.
