Oxytetracycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic, the mechanism of action of which is to disrupt protein synthesis when it interacts with ribosomes, as well as to reduce the permeability of the cytoplasmic membrane of sensitive microorganisms. The drug has a wide spectrum of action on gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms: Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp ., Corynebacterium spp ., Brucella spp ., Haemophilus spp . , E. coli , Pasteurella spp ., Klebsiella spp ., Erysipelothrix spp ., Fusobacterium spp ., Salmonella spp . as well as protozoa ( Protozoa ) , mycoplasma ( Mycoplasma spp . ) , rickettsia ( Rickettsia spp . ) and chlamydia ( Chlamydia ) .
Application
Treatment of calves (up to 3 months of age), pigs, dogs, cats and poultry (broiler chickens, chickens, turkeys, ducks) in diseases of the respiratory system, digestive tract and genitourinary system caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline.
Dosage
The drug is applied to calves, dogs, cats and pigs individually or by a group method with feed at a dose of 1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight twice a day for 3-7 days; to chickens, turkeys and ducks individually or by group method with feed according to the active substance in a dose of mg/kg: 20-50; twice a day for 3-7 days. When using the drug by the group method, the tablets should be thoroughly crushed and mixed with food.

It is an antibiotic that has a bactericidal effect on gram-positive and some gram-negative bacteria in fish. This fish antibiotic is useful for controlling some common bacterial diseases in fish, including septicemia, rot in the mouth, and rot in the fins and tails.
The composition of 1 g of the drug doxycycline contains the active substance: doxycycline hydrochloride-200 mg. Doxycycline is an antibiotic belonging to the tetracycline group. It acts bacteriostatically on bacterial ribosomes, suppressing protein synthesis.
The drug has a wide range of antimicrobial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus SPP.Diplococci pneumonia, Streptococcus SPP., Hemophilus, Escherichia coli, pneumococci, coli antacids, Clostridium montribermsperfogtrices, Perfromtribes, Clostridium perfrichtsens, beyond, stroboscopes, beyond, stroboscopes, beyond, stroboscopes, performs, stroboscopes, perfume, bacteria, bacteria, bacteria). Oxytetracycline (Terramycin) powder
In veterinary medicine, oxytetracycline is used in the form of a base, hydrochloride, and dihydrate. Oxytetracycline base is an amorphous light yellow substance, poorly soluble in water. Oxytetracycline hydrochloride and dihydrate are crystalline substances of yellow color, odorless, bitter taste, readily soluble in water.
Pharmacological properties
Oxytetracycline is a tetracycline antibiotic produced by Streptomyces rimosus. Possesses a wide spectrum of antibacterial action, is active against many gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, incl. Escherichia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Rickettsia, and some types of Mycoplasma; does not act on Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus, most fungi, and small viruses. The mechanism of the antibacterial action of oxytetracycline is based on the suppression of protein synthesis of the microbial cell (blockade of ribosome function) and blockade of RNA synthesis.
Application
Treatment of cattle, pigs, and poultry for respiratory and alimentary canal diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to oxytetracycline.
