Pharmacological properties
Has antimicrobial, antiparasitic, keratolytic, anti-inflammatory, irritant effect.
When applied to the skin, sulfur is irritating, converted to hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and sulfur dioxide (S02), which have antiparasitic effects.
Indication
For the treatment of animals with parasitic skin lesions, scabies, trichophytia, microspores, eczema, furunculosis, dermatitis of various etiologies in cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats.
Method of application and dosage
For the treatment of sick animals sulfur ointment is used in the form of medical dressings, applications 1 time in 2-3 days. In the open method of treatment, the ointment is applied to the affected area in a thin layer twice a day. The amount of ointment depends on the size of the affected area. In fungal skin lesions, the ointment is applied in a thin layer on the affected surface and 2-4 cm around it.
