Description

The liquid is colorless, transparent.

Pharmacological properties

Means for local anesthesia, blocks sodium channels, inhibits the penetration of potassium, reduces the tension of the phospholipid layer of cell membranes, inhibits redox processes and the generation of nerve impulses. Upon entry into the blood reduces the formation of acetylcholine, excitability of peripheral cholinergic systems, smooth muscle spasms, excitability of the heart muscle and motor areas of the cerebral cortex, blocks the autonomic ganglia.

When administered parenterally, it is well absorbed, the degree of absorption depends on the site, method of administration and dose. Rapidly hydrolyzed by esterases and cholinesterases of blood plasma and tissues with the formation of two main pharmacologically active metabolites: diethylaminoethanol, which provides anesthetic and moderate vasodilatory action, and paraaminobenzoic acid, which is a component of folic acid, folic acid and drugs.

Method of application and dosage

Before use, the drug is warmed to the body temperature of the animal and administered subcutaneously, intramuscularly, intravenously or intraaortically.

Maximum single doses per 1 animal are:

• horses – 400-500 ml;
• cattle – 300-400 ml;
• goats, sheep, pigs – 100-150 ml;
• dogs – 60-100 ml.

Inject the drug slowly!

Intravenous injections of the drug in maximum doses cause agitation.

The drug is incompatible with tannins, alkalis, oxidants, salts of heavy metals, hexamethylenetetramine (urotropin), sulfonamides (the latter weaken the anesthetic effect of novocaine).

Indication

Used for infiltration anesthesia in surgery, novocaine blockade, seizures in combination with specific and symptomatic drugs for gastric ulcers, atony of the pancreas and intestines, dyspepsia, spastic colic, intestinal obstruction, peritoneum, reticuloperenitis, reticuloperenitis , prolapse of the uterus, vagina or rectum, metritis, manure retention, serous catarrhal mastitis, rheumatic inflammation of the hooves, subdermatitis, inflammation of muscles and joints, with slow granulating wounds, ulcers, fistulas, myositis, papillomatosis.

Used to dissolve antibiotics to anesthetize the injection site and prolong their action.

Contraindication

Do not use in animals with hypersensitivity to novocaine.

Do not inject in places with hypotension and purulent processes.

Storage conditions

In a dry, dark place at a temperature of +3 to +25 ° C.

After opening the ampoule, use the drug immediately, after opening the vial – store in the refrigerator and use for 7 days.
