Virbac Pronefra for Renal Problems in Dogs and Cats

– Refined vegetable oil (olive and copra)
– Meat and animal by-products (poultry)
– Calcium carbonate 3.6%.
– Hydrolyzed fish protein 1.9%
– Chitosan 1%
– Magnesium carbonate 1%.

Pronefra 60 ml is an oral suspension for dogs and cats that supports renal function in cases of chronic renal failure.

Pronerf feed additive contains 5 ingredients:

Calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate – limit the bioavailability of phosphate.
Chitosan – decreases the level of uremic toxins and urea in the blood, improves kidney function, and due to this, the level of creatinine in the blood serum decreases. Chitosan lowers serum cholesterol levels by binding bile acids in the intestine, and increases hemoglobin levels.
Astragales polysaccharides – help maintain normal kidney structure by limiting the progression of fibrosis.
Oligopeptides of Marine Origin – Helps maintain balanced blood pressure.
The drug is presented in the form of a suspension with a dispenser and has good taste characteristics. Contains detailed instructions for use.

Method of administration and dosage

The suspension is given orally using a syringe – dispenser:

Cats: 1 ml (0,033 oz) per 4 kg (8.8 lbs) bw, initially up to 6 months, twice daily with meals.
Dogs: 1 ml (0,033 oz) per 5 kg (11 lbs) bw, initially up to 6 months, twice daily with meals.
Can be administered directly into the mouth, can be added to food. Preferably with meals.

A 60 ml bottle is designed for 1 month of therapy for a cat weighing 4 kg, for 1 month of therapy for a dog weighing 15 kg.

Ingredients: fatty acids esterified with glycerin, astragalus powder concentrated with polysaccharides (9.5%), meat and meat derivatives (poultry), calcium carbonate (3.57%), fish protein hydrolyzate (1.9%), magnesium carbonate ( 0.95%), chitosan (0.95%).
