Description:
Transparent colorless liquid.
Composition:
1 ml of the drug contains:
gentamicin sulfate – 4 mg.
Excipients: polyvinyl alcohol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, Trilon B, sodium chloride, sodium metabisulfite, water for injection.
Pharmacological properties:
Gentamicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic that acts bactericidal against some Gram-positive and most Gram-negative bacteria (E. coli Salmonella spp. Shigella spp. Enterobakter aerogenes Klebsiella spp. Proteus spp. I Serratia spp. Pseudomonas aeruginosa Pasteurella multocida Staphylococteria .). Gentamicin exhibits antimicrobial action by inhibiting protein synthesis in ribosomes.
Application:
Treatment of dogs, cats, rabbits, ornamental animals and poultry in acute and chronic eye diseases (catarrhal and purulent conjunctivitis, keratitis, infected eye wounds, corneal ulcer) caused by microorganisms sensitive to gentamicin.
Dosage:
The drug is instilled in 2-3 drops into the sore eye 2-3 times a day. The course of treatment is 2-5 days, depending on the course of the disease.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to gentamicin sulfate.
Caveats:
Mixing gentamicin sulfate with heparin, B complex vitamins, penicillins, cephalosporins, erythromycin, sulfonamides in one syringe is not allowed.
Release form:
Bottles made of glass closed with a rubber stopper for aluminum rolling, 5, 10 ml each. The bottle is placed in a cardboard box along with a dropper pipette and an insert card.
