tiamulin hydrogen fumarate – 87.5 mg

tylosin tartrate – 62.5 mg

The liquid is light yellow, transparent.

Pharmacological properties

Combined antibacterial drug with a broad spectrum of action against pathogens of economically significant bacteriosis, mycoplasmosis, rickettsiosis, spirochetosis, treponematosis and chlamydia, affecting cattle, pigs, sheep, goats.

Tiamulin is a semi-synthetic antibiotic from the group of pleuromutilin, inhibits protein synthesis in susceptible microorganisms, acts bacteriostatically against gram-positive bacteria Erysipelothrix spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. coli, Lawsonia intracellularis, Fusobacterium necrophorum, mycoplasma M. bovis, M. hypopneumoniae, M. hyorhinis, M. synoviae, M. hyosynoviae, Ureaplasma spp. etc., leptospira Leptospira spp., spirochetes Serpulina hyodysenteriae, S. innocens, treponemes T. hyodysenteriae, chlamydia Chlamydia spp.

Tylosin is an antibiotic from the group of macrolides, inhibits protein synthesis in bacteria due to binding to ribosomes, active against gram-positive bacteria Actinomycos spp., Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Streptococcus spp., E. collothy, E. collothy, bacteria Brucella spp., Fusobacterium spp., Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Salmonella spp., Treponema spp., Bordetella bronchiseptica, Proteus mirabilis, etc., inhibits the action of some strains of Mycoplasma spp., Chlamydia sppia., Urea Rplas, .

Method of application and dosage

Before use, the solution is heated to a temperature of + 25-30 ° C. The drug is administered intramuscularly once a day, the course is 3-5 days. The dose is 1 ml per 10 kg of body weight. In pigs with enzootic pneumonia, mycoplasmic arthritis dose is increased by 25-50%.

In 7-10 days after the end of the course of treatment of pigs from dysentery or ileitis, it is advisable to repeat the treatment with the drug TimTil or other antimicrobial agent for oral administration (Brovamulin-100, Brovamulin-plus, etc.).

Reservation

In some cases, at the injection site may appear mild edema, erythema, itching, which disappear after 2-3 days without special treatment.

After the last application of the drug, slaughter of animals for meat is allowed in 10 days. Meat obtained before this date is disposed of or fed to non-productive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian.

Indication

Treatment of animals with diseases caused by microorganisms sensitive to tiamulin and tylosin:

• pigs – erysipelas, dysentery, ileitis, leptospirosis, listeriosis, campylobacteriosis, colibacillosis, pasteurellosis, salmonellosis, infectious gastroenteritis, spirochete enterocolitis, atrophic rhinitis, enzootic pneumonia, actinobacillary pleuropia;
• cattle, sheep, goats – bronchopneumonia, dysentery, peritonitis, metritis, umbilical sepsis, purulent arthritis, hoof rot, brucellosis, leptospirosis, postpartum complications, postoperative infections.

Contraindication

Do not prescribe to animals with hypersensitivity to the active substances of the drug, sows in the first month after insemination. Do not use simultaneously with penicillin, cephalosporin and lincomycin, as they reduce the antibacterial properties of the drug. Do not use at least 7 days before and after treatment with polyester ionophores (monensin, narasin, salinomycin, etc.). 

Storage conditions

In a dry, dark place at a temperature of +5 to +25 ° C.

After opening the vial, store the drug at a temperature of +2 to +6 ° C and use for 20 days.
