Trios cream, 20 g (dexamethasone, ciprofloxacin, clotrimazole)

Description:

Cream white or almost white.

1 g of cream contains the active ingredients:

dexamethasone – 0.64 mg;

ciprofloxacin hydrochloride – 10 mg;

clotrimazole – 10mg.

Excipients: purified water, propylene glycol, vaseline oil, emulsifier, nipagard.

Pharmacological action:

Triosan cream is a combined anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antibacterial, antifungal drug, the pharmacological action of which is due to three active agents: ciprofloxacin, dexamethasone and clotrimazole.

Ciprofloxacin is a synthetic antibacterial drug of the fluoroquinolone group. In terms of antibacterial spectrum of action, ciprofloxacin is mainly similar to other fluoroquinolones: it inhibits the active enzyme gyrase, which is involved in the synthesis of microbial cell DNA, resulting in rapid bactericidal action, especially on microorganisms resistant to beta-lactam antibiotics, tetracyclines, tetra aminoglycosides.

Ciprofloxacin is effective against gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms: E. coli, Salmonella spp., Campylobacter spp., Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Bordetella spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Klebsiella scopcus. and Mycoplasma spp.

Dexamethasone has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic and antipruritic effects. Inhibits the accumulation of leukocytes, the release of lysosomal enzymes and anti-inflammatory mediators in the inflammatory focus, inhibits phagocytosis, reduces vascular permeability, preventing the formation of inflammatory edema.

Clotrimazole has an antifungal effect as a result of impaired synthesis of ergosterol, which is part of the cell membrane of fungi. Active against: Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum canis, Candida albicans, Malassezia furtur.

Application:

For the treatment of horses, dogs, cats and fur animals with skin diseases of allergic, bacterial and fungal etiology.

Dosage:

Before applying the cream, the hair on the affected area is cut.

The cream is applied to the affected areas of the skin 2 times a day (morning and evening) in a thin layer, rubbing gently.

The duration of treatment is determined by the elimination of the inflammatory process and negative data of bacterial and / or mycological analysis, the cessation of itching. When the clinical condition improves, the drug is used once a day.

The course of treatment is 2-4 weeks (maximum). There must be a break of at least 20 days between repeated courses.

Warning

Do not allow the drug to get into the eyes and open wound areas.

Do not allow animals to lick the drug.

Side effect:

With prolonged use, side effects are possible (suppression of adrenal cortex function).

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
