Description:
Transparent yellowish liquid.
Structure:
1 ml of the drug contains the active ingredient:
metamizole sodium – 500 mg.
Excipients: water for injection.
Pharmacological properties:
The drug has a pronounced analgesic, anticonvulsant (reduces smooth muscle tone), moderate anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects. In animals, the drug causes inhibition of cyclooxygenase, as a result of which it acts on the central and peripheral nervous systems. After administration, the intensity of pain decreases without suppression of peristalsis, therefore, with atony, intestinal spasms, flatulence, the drug causes calming of animals, leveling of peristalsis, and gas discharge. With intramuscular administration, the analgesic effect lasts for 1-2 hours, with intravenous administration, it begins after 10 minutes. and lasts approximately 45-60 minutes. The metabolites of the drug are excreted mainly in the urine.
Application:
For the treatment of animals with diseases of muscles and joints (arthritis, lameness, bursitis, tendonitis, fractures), to reduce pain of various origins, especially in diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, as symptomatic treatment at elevated body temperature, as well as in horses ─ with myoglobinuria, colic , neuralgia, overflow of the bladder; cattle, sheep, goats ─ for the treatment of mastitis, colic, for postoperative analgesia; pigs ─ with metritis-mastitis-agalactia syndrome; for dogs ─ when removing foreign bodies from the pharynx and esophagus, before trimming claws, ears, cleaning ears, amputating tails.

When using, the dose of the drug is selected depending on the course and type of the disease.
If rapid pain relief is required, the drug is recommended to be administered intravenously to animals, before administration it is heated and injected slowly.
To small animals and to prolong the action, the drug is administered intramuscularly. In case of colic in horses or other diseases of animals, accompanied by severe pain, the drug must be administered intravenously. After the end of the drug action, the administration is repeated as indicated.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to sodium metamizole.
Do not use in cats; animals with renal failure.
Caveats:
With an acute expansion of the stomach under the influence of the drug, the horses temporarily calm down, but the expansion of the stomach does not disappear, therefore, anti-fermentative agents are prescribed simultaneously with Analgopharm.
Do not inject subcutaneously.
Slaughter for meat is allowed 12 days after the last use of the drug, milk consumption – after 3 days. The meat and milk obtained before the specified period is disposed of or fed to unproductive animals, depending on the conclusion of a veterinary doctor.
Release form:
Ampoules of 1 and 5 ml; glass bottles are closed with a rubber stopper for an aluminum roll-in of 10, 50 and 100 ml.
Storage:
A dry, dark place out of the reach of children at temperatures from 5 ºС to 25 ºС.
