Pharmacological properties
Polymyxin B is a polypeptide antibiotic that belongs to the group of polymyxins. It affects the cytoplasmic membrane of the microorganism, interacting with phospholipids. This leads to a violation of the membrane permeability. Polymyxin B is active against Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp.
Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic with a broad spectrum of bactericidal action against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms: Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus spp., Salmonella spp., Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus aureus.
The mechanism of action is to inhibit protein synthesis in the microbial cell.
Sulfirem has an antiparasitic effect against the ear mite Otodectis cynotis and a fungicidal effect against the yeast Malassezia pachydermatis (Pityrosporum canis).
Lidocaine inhibits sensitive nerve endings of the skin and mucous membranes, that is, it causes a reversible suppression of the conduction of tissue elements of nerve cells (neuron, axon, synapses). It disrupts the function of voltage-gated sodium channels, reduces sodium intake into cells, prevents the formation of an action potential and impulse conduction.
Marigold flowers contain carotenoids (carotene, lycopene, violaxanthin, citraxanthin, rubixanthin, flavochrom), flavonoids (narcisin, rhamnetin, isorhamnetin-3-triglucoside, isoquercitrin), essential oil, saponins, bitter mucus in calenden, substances smoked , organic acids (malic, salicylic, pentadecyl), phytosterol, enzymes, vitamin C, alkaloids. This complex of biologically active substances has anti-inflammatory, wound healing, bactericidal action, accelerates tissue regeneration processes.
Chamomile flowers – biologically active substances have an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic effect, reduce allergic reactions, enhance regeneration processes.
Eyebright flowers and leaves – contain essential and fatty oils, flavonoids, tannins, coumarins, glycosides, anthocyanins, and vitamins. The flowers and leaves of eyebright have a positive effect on visual acuity, reduce inflammation, even have a therapeutic and prophylactic effect on degenerative-dystrophic processes in the membrane of the eye, and also reduce eye puffiness and slow down age-related metabolic disorders.
