Structure
1 ml of the drug contains:
calcium gluconate – 200 mg
Description
The liquid is colorless or light yellow, transparent.
Pharmacological properties
The drug replenishes calcium deficiency in the body, reduces the permeability of blood vessels
and tissues, accelerates blood clotting, has hemostatic, antioxidative, anti-allergic, anti-
inflammatory properties, reduces the effect of toxins. Calcium ions are involved in the
transmission of nerve impulses, contraction of smooth and striated muscles, blood clotting,
bone formation, the functioning of the myocardium, and other systems and organs. Less
irritating to tissues at the injection site than calcium chloride.
When administered parenterally, it is evenly distributed in organs and tissues, in plasma it is in
an ionized form, penetrates the placental barrier, and is excreted in milk. It is excreted from
the body mainly by the kidneys.

Method of administration and dosage
Before using, the drug is warmed up to the body temperature of the animal and injected
intravenously, slowly, at a dose of 0.5 ml per 1 kg of body weight.
The maximum single dose for 1 animal is:
cattle – 150-300 ml;
horses – 150-250 ml;
pigs, sheep, goats – 20-100 ml;
dogs – 5-25 ml.
It is possible to re-use the drug after 24 hours at the same dose.

The syringe with which the drug is injected should not contain residues of ethyl alcohol, since
this leads to precipitation of calcium gluconate.
The drug reduces the therapeutic effect of tetracyclines.
Contraindications
Do not administer to animals with hypercalcemia.

Pharmacological properties
Sodium chloride is involved in water-salt metabolism, maintains and regulates osmotic pressure, has detoxification, rehydration effect, replenishes sodium deficiency in various pathological conditions of the body, temporarily increases the volume of fluid circulating through the vessels.
Sodium ions penetrate the cell membrane through various transport mechanisms, in particular the sodium-potassium pump (Na-K-ATPase). Sodium contributes to the transmission of signals in neurons, electrophysiological processes of the heart, metabolic processes in the kidneys. It is excreted from the body after renal reabsorption in the urine, a small amount in the feces and sweat.
Indications
Treatment of animals with significant losses of organic fluid (dehydration) - intoxication, diarrhea, burn disease, toxic dyspepsia, decreased blood pressure, shock, after surgery.
For washing wounds, mouth, nose, mucous membranes of the eyes, as a solvent for veterinary and biological products.
